Kongo Debris
ENGINE NACELLE
The outboard side of the smaller model are covered with small sections of thin styrene.

The completed model is primered.

Both models are sprayed with an automotive metalic gray. A decal sheet is made for both models.

Panel shapes and lines are airbrushed on with a gloss medium gray.

The inner 'warp coils' are painted copper, the framework is painted a reddish brown and the tubes and conduits are painted various light colors, some with thin colored bands.

Red markings are masked and airbrushed on both models.

The NCC decals are applied to both models.

Very small graphic decals are applied in various locations. The NCC is chipped and scratched, then a light mist layer of the base color of the model is applied over the decals. Both models are then sprayed with a matte finish to seal everything on.

Both models are weathered.

Both models are completed and await photography. The green support tubes attached to each model make it possible to photograph them against green screen to make them appear to hang in space.
