The main body panels of the viewer were cut from 1/8" masonite. They were assembled and the edges sanded smooth.

Rocker type switches were installed into the base unit. The inside of the main body was painted with a light blue. A wired lamp socket was installed.

Sheet styrene was cut to shape to cover the wood construction of the viewer.

Both assemblies were laminated with sheet styrene. All seams on the base unit were puttied.

Chrome tape was applied to a small panel to form a reflector to allow the lower indicator lamp to come on when the viewer screen is switched on.

The front of the viewer is built and a plexigass screen installed. All seams of the viewer section were puttied completing primary assembly.

All seams on both sections were sanded smooth.
|
|
The viewscreen was masked and both assemblies were primered.
|
|
Touch up spot sputty was applied to seam inperfections.
|
|
Both assemblies were sanded. A base color was applied. When barely dry, the screen and indicator was unmasked.

The completed base unit with brass 'tape deck' surround attached.

The screen was placed onto the base. The power supply cord splice was attached to one of the switches.
