Tholian Miniature
Part 2

The Dylithium Chamber is made from foamcore sheet.

The structure is covered in sheet styrene. Two large cylinders are turned on a lathe and placed into position. One inch diameter wood balls are gathered and primered.

The completed assembled was then primered.

Sheet styrene is cut to form the frames of the red alert lights. Clear styrene is placed on the back side and a decal graphic is applied to similate the ribbed grill texture.

The red alert lights are attached to the wall panels. A control console is made from sheet styrene, primered, and placed below the main monitor status panel. Metal hex mesh to cut to shape for the small grill near the control console on the left.

Sheet styrofoam is cut to shape and glued to the back and side walls to form the small box shapes. The overhead displays and control panels are cut to shape from foamcore and sheet styrene. The grills between the two consoles and the two openings above the right console were created by cutting sanding screen to the required shapes.

The entire assembly was sprayed with a light blue-gray color.

The ceiling beams are masked and painted with a blue green color.
