Kongo Debris
PRIMARY HULL
Additional hull plating was added with different shades of gray until the entire effect was subtle.
Dark gray was applied to the blown away panels again. The 'rust ring' was masked and painted on with a light tan color. Very subtle green and tan streaks were added all over the saucer.
Dark gray was sprayed on around the damaged areas.
Black was lightly applied around the damaged areas. The blown away panels were detail painted and the hull was 'scratched' by applying silver paint along small strips of scotch tape. The silver was also applied to the edges of some of the broken away damaged areas.
'Impact hits' were airbrushed on with black. Additional re-entry burn streaks were also added.
The entire surface was sprayed with a gloss finish for decal application.
Hull marking and window decals were applied.
The decals were chipped and scratched. The entire model was then sprayed with a dull finish to complete it.
