A clay dam was formed and filled with resin. The resin was cut vertically to make a 1/2" thick 'plate'. The plate was sanded down the the required shape to form the kits' 'neck'.
A fine line was etched into both sides of this part.
A post was turned on a lathe for the Deflector Dish mount.
A small spike was made, aligned, and attached to the post.
The assembled Deflector Mount slides into the hole in the bottom of the saucer...
...And snaps into place!
