Shuttlecraft
A small 9" long model was built. While it photographed great in stills, it looked tiny on test footage that was shot. A larger model was planned using the great ortho view drawings by Phil Broad. The scale of the model was determined by the diameter of PVC tubing used for the engine nacelles.

Materials are gathered for construction.

One inch furring strips are marked and cut to shape for frame assembly.

The wood frame members are assembled.

Perforated metal strips are cut and bent to shape to support the engine nacelles.

The body side panels are cut to shape and attached. The engine nacelle tubes are cut to length and slits are cut into them to allow the perforated metal strips to slide into them.

The roof is cut to shape and attached. The side wing panels are also cut to shape and attached.

A small lamp is placed inside the forward section. Reflective aluminum foil is placed behind the lamp and the center forward hull panel is cut to shape and attached.

More to come!
