Tholian Miniature

Sheet styrene, steel tubes, wire, power transformer and wire connectors are gathered.

The tube sections are tightened together. Sections are cut from the sheet styrene and secured to the steel tube with epoxie. The steel tube armature is primered to inhibit rust.

The main body panels are attached.

The outer edges of the wings are attached.

The nose is formed by bending the ends of the attached panels forward. Epoxie putty is applied filling in the open areas of the nose.

The side wing panels are applied.

Spot putty is troweled into the main body seams.

All seams and puttied areas are sanded smooth, then primered.

A strip of styrene is tacked down. This styrene sheet is cut to shape and placed on the wing edge. This thin styrene will be laminated on and the strip styrene will be removed creating a recessed channel.
